TONY: Astrological ART & ANIMATION

Having made a life-long investment in his astrological knowledge and application, Tony is always seeking to build creative bridges - leading those who do not understand astrology across to those who do. Indeed, a great deal of Tony's astrological work is aimed at teaching children through his fun stories and illustrations - although he has found that 'children of all ages' enjoy and are equally fascinated by what he does too.

At a major transformation in his life (his Sun, Mercury and Venus in Virgo, in the 9thH, are squared by Uranus in Gemini, among other major transits) are demanding that he reassess his life and invest in new & innovative opportunities and potentials.

Tony is also desperately keen to return to the UK from his current home in Seattle - if nothing else but to be closer to his grandchildren and two new great-grandchildren. So, he is looking for new opportunities that might help pay for his rent for he and his wife when they get there.

Open question: If any of the following is of interest, Tony is extremely keen to explore new avenues for some, if not all, of the work below -  especially in long or short form publishing. (With 3 planets in Virgo and his Moon in Capricorn, Tony is an archetypal 'workaholic' - and loves nothing more than creating new ideas and applying his are and animation skills to things that motivate, but on the above.) That said, his passion for inspirational work is primarily directed to the creative side, preferring to leave the publishing/marketing aspects to others.

Paramount to all for Tony, is his current legacy project, 'OLD SOUL: The BOOK OF 12'. Again, needs any support he can get to continually work on this project,  in addition to any new opportunities that might come as a result of any of the following opening up opportunities. Tony would be delighted to work on any of them, in addition to 'OLD SOUL'.

I did once work for a while - in 'survival' mode, between full-time employment - touring local psychic fairs and events. I was primarily selling my art prints and children's books. Although, I did do some basic astrological work - which was more helping people understand their core 'Astrological Selves', rather than doing in-depth astrological readings.

ANIMATION

Tony felt it necessary to hide his interest in astrology from clients and colleagues while running his own, award-winning London animation studio. As a result he was not able to work on much astrological creativity  in a public sense. However, the following are the few videos he does have to offer, so far...

In the early 1990's I was asked to create an animated astrology section for a pilot TV 'LIFE' magazine program, 'The Language of the Stars', starring the clay animated 'Dr. Horace Scope'. The program series didn't go ahead in the end as the public didn't like the pilot show much. However, the animated astrology section researched rally well I was told. (Apologies for the poor quality of the video.) I wrote the song lyrics and the animation script, whereas my friend wrote the music.

A  number of years ago, since I've lived in Seattle, I was commissioned by astrologer,  David Railey, to create an animated commercial of his 'Nodoor' School of Astrology, in Beijing. This is what I came up with on a very limited budget - although it was very successful I am told.

When I was in 'survival' mode, between full-time employment in the States, I created an original 'first' I believe - animated horoscopes. I had a programmer  friend take the 120 short animated video clips I created (the 10 main planets in the 12 Signs) and write a program where I could input a person's date of birth. It would automatically edit together a personal animated report, as above. (This one is based on my own birth details.) Unfortunately, when computer operating systems upgraded and it needed re-coding, my programmer had moved on to bigger and better things. So, although I can still do things manually if I need to (I don't push them anymore, due to lack of time, money and other projects) it is no longer an automated editing process. I do still believe that this could be developed into something very commercial - while at the same time as being respectful of the core principles of astrology.

This little snippet is my animated 'Sun' character. It appears briefly in my 'OLD SOUL: The BOOK OF 12' teaser I produced. But, just like everything else I have created in the past, I simply do not have the money, time or connections to make anything happen to their maximum potential. The Sun character is very much loved by all who see it walking however!

CHILDREN'S

With 'Mars in Cancer' square 'Neptune' (in the 10thH) of my Birth Chart, I feel very much that I would do very well with children's astrology (books, comics, animated TV) projects. So, the following are just snippets of what I've done in the past - mainly illustrated just for pleasure. I did illustrate daily 'transits' on my Instagram page for a while however -which was liked - although other projects took me away from any after that, sadly.

I designed, calculated and sold many of these unique children's illustrated Birth Charts. They proved very popular when I did them.

FLASH/ORACLE CARDS

I once wrote, illustrated and published my own deck of 120 'Astrological Oracle Cards'. (I.e. One card for each of the 10 planets in the 12 Signs.) At first they were conceived as 'Flash' cards however. I felt that a flash card deck like this would be great for astrology students, so I even created a book about it. The idea was that a student would focus on one card per day, remember the qualities of that 'planet in Sign' card, then carry it around with them for the entire day and see these card qualities manifesting all around in the world. It worked extremely well and students said it made things much easier for them to remember. However, then my wife discovered (and proved to my satisfaction) they the cards worked well for tarot-style oracle reading  in their own right. (Much to my surprise!) So, we printed a small, initial batch and sold them as such. They sold out! However, tariffs, etc. mean we can order more from the printer we used in China for the time being.

HEALING HERBS OF THE ZODIAC

When I was first introduced to astrology in my early teenage years by the amazing, late/great Irish herbalist/astrologer, Samuel H. Weir, we created this 12 print/greetings card series of "Healing Herbs if the Zodiac' together. I have subsequently self-published a book featuring the 12 designs, although there is so much more I could do with them to be honest. They have sold pretty well at the few local events I have taken them to also.

MISCELLANEOUS ILLUSTRATIONS

I have created so much astrological, spiritual and/or metaphysical art in my time (mainly for pleasure, not profit) - something I have got so much joy from. Here is just some of it, although there is so much more!
